At Neighbourwood Workshop Inselhandwerk, Fischerinsel 6, 10179 Berlin

Join us for an inspiring, hands-on workshop series introducing sustainable woodworking practices and creative low waste approaches to working with reclaimed materials. Participants work with simple tools and learn alternatives to hot glue bonding, focusing on durable, repairable connections and responsible material use. The workshops are conducted in German, English, and Arabic.

Your companions for this journey and facilitators will be Yumna Saleh & Ghaidaa Kotb. Both are Egyptian women woodworkers and have been providing workshops in Berlin on various topics mostly focused on Woodworking, Heritage and Islamic Art since 2022.

Yumna is a Woodworker and maker with a hands-on practice rooted in upcycling and simple, functional furniture making since 2020.

Ghaidaa is a facilitator and an artist specialized in Islamic Art and Traditional Egyptian Woodwork techniques.
